Oh, jeez…. Oh, my… There-.. The skeins are everywhere. Looming over me and watching me when they think I’m otherwise occupied.
They’re perched on every shelf in my room, strewn across the floor, covering my desk completely… Their numbers have grown substantially.
They’re talking to each other now. Whispering their covert yarns and devious plans to one another. They think I can’t hear them; that I don’t speak their worsted dialect. They’re wrong, I’ve understood every strand of information they’ve passed around the room.
This could be the night they do it. Like the furbys of my youth, they too are planning to kill me and take over the world. The question is… Do I have the balls to stop them?

Wanna know what I just realized? The people who only watched the Harry Potter movies and never read any of the books don’t know that Hermione was a knitter. Not just any knitter, either. She was a charitable knitter who knitted for house elves. For house elves! And all of those people will never know! It’s just… I can’t even.
These are my TARDIS-y fingerless gloves…
Okay, these are my hand-knit waffle stitch fingerless glovelettes that are in my etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/JoonMoonKnits. There 100% wool, fit most adult sized hands, and I really wish I wasn’t selling them because I am in love with them. But, alas, the reason I made this shop is to help fund my college and life expenses so I don’t have to move back in with my parents. I should have more stuff posted in the shop by the end of the week! So, please feel more than free to drop by and check things out! :)

The hat is finished. It will soon be Idaho bound.
Well, I’m bored… I think I’ll go watch a bit of Doctor Who and knit :)
P.S. my ask box is always open. so, um, feel free to pop on by?

So, in the past 2 1/2 weeks I’ve been living here with these three other people, I made an effort to be in the living room socializing and getting to know them for maybe the first three nights…
Well, since then I’ve just been sitting on my bed on my side of the bedroom. I have watched 4 seasons of Doctor Who (and bawled my eyes out), 3 Harry Potter movies, 5 Disney movies, and yelling and screaming at my knitting. I have been on tumblr the rest of the time, laughing uncontrollably, or sleeping for several hours during the daytime as I unintentionally change my sleeping habits to that of the nocturnal.
They probably think I’m insane; but, I really could care less. I’m having way more fun by myself then I would with them and there discussions of their hot deals at Ikea and that spaghetti sauce was on sale at Albertson’s.
I will stay in my room, socializing only when it is absolutely necessary :)

I MADE THIS!!! I SPUN YARN!!! :D
So, I went to the fair today and found these ladies who were spinning yarn and one of them asked me if I wanted to try. After a gleeful exclamation from me, I sat down and she taught me how to use a drop spindle. Agh! Spinning yarn is like being a wizard! Its magical! I bought a drop spindle from the lady and she gave me some merino wool fiber and a bit of unprocessed wool roving FOR FREE and I made this when I got home! I feel so accomplished and I want to make more!
However, that would mean that I’d have to go on knit picks and buy my cabled needles in the sock knitting sizes (because the sock needle sizes aren’t interchangeable like the rest of my set :( boooo…) And I’m supposed to be cutting back on my knitting spending, blegh… And dpns are stupid and only exist in my needle collection to mock me with their fiddly-ness and my inability to learn their magical ways.
Well, I was bored… So bored, that I turned my dad’s work schedule into a knitting pattern and then proceeded to knit said pattern. These are the results.
My cat, Shiara, with a knitted headband… Yeah, I get bored. When I get bored I knit things for cats. I’m cool like that. I’m a cool cat.
